Blogs and Online Columns

On the Om Front is an occasional column/feature that Karen currently pens for the San Francisco Bay Guardian. She highlights exciting local yogis and yoga happenings in the great Bay Area.

The Sacred Cow: A Place to Talk Yoga (Without All the Bull) was a yoga blog that Karen wrote in  cooperation with Pranamaya, a cutting edge and inventive San Francisco-based yoga media company. The Sacred Cow investigated all things yoga–and then some. It also featured monthly interviews with prominent modern yoga masters. The blog is on a hiatus, but the content is still up–check it out and join the conversation!

Samadhi & the City was a professional, weekly blog written for Yoga Journal‘s website. It spanned a year and a half, from July 2007 until December 2008. Karen covered the local, San Francisco yoga scene and loved every minute of it.

Tales of Guate was a personal, sporadic blog that chronicled her experiences in Guatemala during 2006, when she taught Journalism and English to university students and professional journalists as part of a State Department fellowship. Karen lived in Guatemala City that year, which is otherwise known as Guate.
